Definition

A benchmark ratio indicating the share of sales revenue allocated to media spending (Media Expense as % of Sales)

How It's Calculated

(Media expense ÷ Sales revenue) × 100

Example

A cereal brand spends $5M on media with $100M in sales → 5% Media Expense as % of Sales.
