Prestige Pricing

Definition

A pricing strategy in which products are intentionally priced at a premium level to signal high quality, exclusivity, or brand status. Prestige pricing relies on the perception that higher price reflects greater value.

Example

A premium skincare brand sets a higher retail price than competitors to position itself as a luxury product and reinforce its high-quality image.
