Definition

The portion of gross sales revenue dedicated to trade spending (Trade Spend %)

How It's Calculated

(Trade Spend ÷ Gross Sales) × 100

Example

A snack brand spends $1M on trade promotions out of $20M gross sales → Trade Spend % = 5%.
