Advertising-to-Sales Ratio (A:S Ratio)

Definition

A measure of how much a company spends on advertising relative to sales (Advertising-to-Sales Ratio). (Advertising-to-Sales Ratio, A:S Ratio)

How It's Calculated

(Advertising spend ÷ Net sales) × 100

Example

A beverage brand spends $10M on ads against $200M in sales → Advertising-to-Sales Ratio = 5%.
