The mean selling price per unit for a product, brand, or category over a defined period, reflecting the combined impact of regular pricing, promotions, and discounts.

How It's Calculated

Total sales dollars ÷ Total units sold

Example

A laundry detergent brand records an average price of $9.25 per unit over four weeks, reflecting a mix of full-price sales and trade-promoted discounts across retailers.
