Base Weighted Weeks (BWW)

Definition

A measure of baseline time-weighted distribution that reflects the number of weeks a product is available at its base (non-promoted) price, weighted by distribution. BWW is used to isolate non-promotional presence over time.

How It's Calculated

Base weeks × Weighted distribution

Example

A snack brand records 10 Base Weighted Weeks during a quarter, indicating sustained distribution at regular price outside of promotional periods.
