Cume Weighted Weeks (CWW)

Definition

A time-based distribution metric that reflects the cumulative number of weeks a product is distributed, weighted by ACV (All Commodity Volume). CWW captures the total distribution presence over a defined period, incorporating both depth and duration of distribution.

How It's Calculated

ACV Weighted Distribution (%) × Number of weeks in the period
(Summed across all weeks in the reporting window)

Example

If a beverage brand maintains 50% ACV distribution for 12 weeks, it would generate 6.0 Cume Weighted Weeks (0.50 × 12), reflecting sustained mid-level distribution over the quarter.
