Definition

The average amount spent per shopping trip on a specific product, brand, or category. Dollars per Trip reflects basket contribution during each purchase occasion.

How It's Calculated

Total sales dollars ÷ Number of purchase trips

Example

A snack brand reports $8.75 Dollars per Trip, indicating that shoppers who purchase the brand spend an average of $8.75 on it during each store visit.
