Heavy Buyers

Definition

Consumers who purchase a product, brand, or category more frequently or in greater volume than average, contributing a disproportionate share of total sales. Heavy buyers are often a key driver of volume and loyalty.

How It's Calculated

Example

A coffee brand identifies that its top 20% of buyers account for over 50% of total sales, classifying them as heavy buyers and targeting them with loyalty and subscription programs.
