Definition

The number of times a company sells and replaces inventory during a period (Inventory Turnover)

How It's Calculated

COGS ÷ Average inventory

Example

A beverage brand with $10M in Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and $2M average inventory → Inventory Turnover = 5.
