Items per Store

Definition

The average number of items or SKUs from a brand or category carried in each store within a defined set of retailers. Items per Store reflects assortment breadth at the store level.

How It's Calculated

Total items carried across all stores ÷ Number of stores

Example

A beverage brand has 500 total item placements across 100 stores, resulting in 5 items per store, indicating moderate assortment depth within each location.
