List Price

Definition

The standard published price set by a manufacturer or supplier before any discounts, trade allowances, or promotional reductions are applied. List price serves as the starting point for pricing negotiations and trade funding.

How It's Calculated

Example

A beverage brand sets a list price of $24.00 per case, which is then adjusted through trade discounts and promotions to determine the final price paid by retailers.
