Marketing Efficiency Ratio (MER)

Definition

A metric showing overall revenue efficiency of marketing spend, calculated as total revenue divided by total marketing spend (Marketing Efficiency Ratio, MER)

How It's Calculated

Revenue ÷ Total marketing spend

Example

A skincare brand generates $500K revenue from $100K ad spend → MER = 5.
