On-Shelf Availability (OSA)

Definition

The percentage of time a product is available for sale on the shelf when a shopper attempts to purchase (On-Shelf Availability, OSA)

How It's Calculated

(Time in-stock at shelf ÷ Total store operating time) × 100

Example

A dairy brand tracks OSA to ensure milk is available 98% of the time at Kroger.
