Out-of-Stock (OOS) Rate

Definition

The percentage of time or store checks where a product is unavailable for sale (Out-of-Stock Rate). (Out-of-Stock Rate, OOS)

How It's Calculated

(# of OOS occurrences ÷ Total checks) × 100

Example

If 20 of 100 shelf checks show no stock, the Out-of-Stock Rate is 20%.
