Percent Stores Selling

Definition

The percentage of stores within a defined market or retailer set that are actively selling a product during a given period. Percent stores selling reflects distribution reach and selling presence, not just authorization.

How It's Calculated

(Number of stores with sales ÷ Total number of stores) × 100

Example

A snack brand is sold in 800 out of 1,000 stores in a market, resulting in 80% percent stores selling, indicating strong distribution coverage.
