Point Change (Pt Chg)

Definition

The difference between two percentage values, expressed in percentage points, used to measure change in metrics such as share, distribution, or penetration.

How It's Calculated

Current period percentage − Prior period percentage

Example

A brand’s market share increases from 10% to 12%, resulting in a +2 point change, indicating a gain of two percentage points.
