Price Elasticity

Definition

A measure of how demand changes in response to changes in price (Price Elasticity)

How It's Calculated

(% change in quantity demanded ÷ % change in price)

Example

If a cereal brand raises price 10% and sales fall 20%, Price Elasticity = –2.
