Price per EQ (Equivalent Unit)

Definition

The price of a product standardized to a common unit of measure, allowing comparison across different package sizes or formats within a category.

How It's Calculated

Total sales dollars ÷ Total equivalized units
(or price ÷ equivalized unit size)

Example

A beverage brand compares a 12 oz can and a 2-liter bottle by converting both to price per ounce, using price per EQ to evaluate true value across formats.
