Price per Unit

Definition

The average price paid for a single unit of a product, used to evaluate pricing and revenue on a per-item basis.

How It's Calculated

Total sales dollars ÷ Total units sold

Example

A snack brand generates $100,000 in sales from 20,000 units sold, resulting in a price per unit of $5.00.
