Price Percentile

Definition

A measure that indicates a product’s price position relative to other products in a category, expressed as a percentile ranking. It shows the percentage of products priced at or below a given product’s price.

How It's Calculated

Rank of product price within category ÷ Total number of products × 100

Example

A snack brand priced at the 80th percentile is more expensive than 80% of products in the category, indicating a premium pricing position.
