Purchase Size

Definition

The average quantity of a product purchased per buying occasion, indicating how much a consumer buys each time they make a purchase.

How It's Calculated

Total units purchased ÷ Total number of purchase occasions

Example

A beverage brand sells 10,000 units across 5,000 purchase occasions, resulting in a purchase size of 2 units per trip.
