Sell In

Definition

The volume of product sold from a manufacturer to a retailer or distributor, reflecting shipments into the retail channel rather than sales to end consumers.

How It's Calculated

Example

A beverage brand sells 100,000 cases to a retailer’s distribution centers, representing sell-in, regardless of how much is ultimately sold to consumers.
