Shipments / Depletions

Definition

Shipments are products sent from manufacturers to distributors or retailers, while Depletions are products sold through by distributors or retailers to consumers (Shipments / Depletions)

How It's Calculated

Example

A winery ships 500K bottles to distributors, but depletion data shows only 400K sold, leaving 100K in inventory.
