Stock Capacity

Definition

The maximum quantity of a product that can be stored or displayed in a given space, such as a shelf, backroom, or warehouse, based on physical and operational constraints.

How It's Calculated

Example

A retailer determines that a shelf can hold 24 units of a beverage SKU at one time, defining the stock capacity for that item on shelf.
