A short-term discount applied at retail to temporarily lower the shelf price and drive volume (Temporary Price Reduction, TPR)

Sales during promotion − Baseline sales

Example

A yogurt brand runs a $0.50 Temporary Price Reduction at Kroger, leading to a 30% sales increase during the promo week.
