Turn Rate

Definition

The speed at which inventory sells through at retail relative to average stock levels (Turn Rate)

How It's Calculated

Units sold ÷ Average on-hand inventory

Example

A retailer sells 1,000 units while holding 500 average units in stock → Turn Rate = 2.
